The economic world downturn drama has thrust people into an historic state of unemployment. As a student, graduate, alumni or friend of SJSU, if you are unemployed, or you love someone who is unemployed, or about to be—you will either become a Love To person or a Have To person. Your unemployment will take you to one of two journeys. One path assists you in charting new career territory. The second prompts you to just find work as soon as possible. Both can lead you to the direction of your potential career. This moment will place you in one of the two following career camps:
Love To: This era gives you the opportunity to eventually do what you love to do. You want to try new arenas, and you can now afford the time for exciting and rewarding experimentation and exploration.
Have To: This era does not provide you with a stable income or the time to find the perfect position. You have to do what you need to do to survive—no choice here; just bring in a paycheck.
