Volunteering:
“Men are rich only as they give. He who gives great service gets great returns.” Elbert Hubbard
Why Volunteer?
Volunteers are the life blood of the San José State University Alumni Association – you help us grow and flourish. Our programs and events would not be possible without our dedicated alumni volunteers who actively support our efforts on behalf of the university’s mission.
Volunteer for the Alumni Association:
- Event Committees: Serve on a planning committee for an alumni event such as our Golden Graduate Society’s annual reunion.
- Alumni Networks: Help organize an alumni network in your region, or participate in an established chapter or network.
- Alumni Representative: Serve as a regional representative to answer questions for other alumni living or moving to your area.
Share your time with the campus community
- SJSU Day of Service: Participate with SJSU faculty, staff, students and alumni in a full day of community service to make a difference in San José neighborhoods.
- Advocacy Efforts: Be an advocate for San José State and the California State University system with state, federal and local elected officials. more
- Alumni Recruitment Program: Share your experiences and help recruit students to San José State! more
- Mentoring a Student: The best career advice students and recent graduates can get is from people already working in their chosen field of study. more
There are many other opportunities throughout the year! Please contact us if you haven’t found the right opportunity for you.
