EXPLORE LIFELONG LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES THROUGH OSHER
SJSU’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) offers a variety of short courses and lectures around Santa Clara County (Saratoga, Los Gatos, Morgan Hill, Evergreen/The Villages, Milpitas, San José, and on Saturdays, on campus. There are no papers, quizzes, or grades. OLLI is all about learning for the joy of it and being with people who love learning. To be a member you must be age 50 or better. All are welcome. "ALL ABOUT DAD" WINS AT CINEQUEST, OPENS AT CAMERA CINEMAS
In the strongest sign yet that San José State's Spartan Film Studios has produced its first big hit, Camera Cinemas will screen "All About Dad," a Vietnamese-American coming-of-age flick, for paying audiences at its downtown theater beginning Friday, April 17. This should come as no surprise to anyone who has seen the film, which rivals the finest independent pictures in writing, acting, costumes, sets and cinematography. Read more. See the trailer.

SPARTAN SPORTS UPDATE
Gymnastics: Thomasina Wallace and Veronica Porte advance to the NCAA Championships in the All Around.
Football: Highlighted by a trip to USC, a visit from Utah and a nationally-televised home game against Nevada, the 2009 schedule has been announced.
Baseball: Off to a 20-8 start, the Spartans host Louisiana Tech in a four-game WAC series at Blethen Field this week.
