While the fossil record of life on Earth extends back over 3.5 billion years, nearly all of the major animal groups still alive today originated during the Cambrian period, a geological interval that began about 542 million years ago. This class will provide an overview of this critical interval in the history of life on Earth.
Presenter Biography: Jonathan Hendricks is an Assistant Professor of Paleontology in the Department of Geology at San Jose State University.
