Hear the recordings, and gain an understanding of the region and culture surrounding the popular Mexican style Son Jarocho music that has taken root in California. Focus on the community aspect of the Son Jarocho movement – which encourages involvement of musicians and dancers alike – is one reason it has gained strength with urban people on both sides of the border.
