Rachel Greathouse
Rachel Greathouse is the President of the San Jose State University Alumni Association. Founded in 1872, the SJSU Alumni Association is the largest and oldest organization supporting the university. Rachel graduated from SJSU with her Bachelor’s in Recreation and Leisure Studies in 2005 and earned her Master’s in Public Administration at California State University East Bay in 2010.
As President, Rachel has established several key objectives for her term. These include: increased membership, creating additional outreach to alumni outside Santa Clara county, additional student scholarship fundraising, and updating the organization's strategic plan.
Rachel works for the American Red Cross Blood Services Northern California Region as an account manager in donor recruitment. In her spare time, she enjoys training for marathons and triathlons will the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team In Training Program and advises the collegiate Alpha Phi Chapter at UC Berkeley.
